Upon his release, Sonny sends Tommy to Vice City with two allies to facilitate a drug deal. Tommy had previously committed multiple murders for Sonny Forelli, one of Liberty City’s Mafia bosses, and served a 15-year prison sentence. Set in 1986, the game revolves around the protagonist, Thomas “Tommy” Vercetti (voiced by Ray Liotta). While the graphics saw only minor updates from its predecessor, Vice City immerses players in the vibrant and stylish setting of the 1980s, with its iconic music, neon colors, fashionable attire, early computer technology, and unique political and social climate. This game achieved tremendous commercial success, exceeding ten million sales worldwide. Originally released in 2002 for the PlayStation 2 and later in 2003 for Windows, it gained further popularity with a port for iOS and Android devices on December 6, 2012. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, abbreviated as GTA: Vice City or simply Vice City, is the fourth installment in the popular Grand Theft Auto series and a prequel to its predecessor, Grand Theft Auto III (GTA III).
